An unmissable concert for guitar enthusiasts featuring three of New Zealand’s finest exponents of the instrument promising an afternoon of exceptional musicianship and dynamic collaboration - Nick Granville, Lockie Bennett and Tyson Smith.
Nick Granville is a renowned New Zealand jazz guitarist, composer, session musician, and educator whose dynamic style blends bluesy roots with groove-driven jazz and melodic sophistication. Lockie Bennett specialises in bop-oriented music and is regarded as one of New Zealand's most in-demand straight-ahead jazz guitarists.
Tyson Smith can be spotted playing guitar with ensembles ranging from Mariachi bands to Symphony Orchestras, he also pursues his own original music. Performing solo before coming together as a trio to explore a rich blend of styles and textures. They are joined by an accomplished rhythm section featuring John Rae (drums), Ben Wilcock (piano), and Elijah Mulheron (bass)
