St James Theatre
Wheelchair access
St James has allocated wheelchair seats but availability is limited. All wheelchair seating is sold at the access price of $20*, even if they are located in a higher reserve area. If you require assistance to attend, you can book an essential companion ticket for free.
Companion tickets are limited and subject to availability.

Deaf / Hard of hearing support
For customers with older model hearing aids, The St James Theatre has 40 devices that connect to hearing aids with coverage to all seats. Please ask Venues staff on arrival if you require one. Those with newer model hearing aids can connect to the Auracast app on their phones, search for the venue and connect that way.

Parking
There is plenty of free parking available at the venue carpark. There are some accessible parks directly outside the venue entrance.
Drop off and pick up zone
At the entrance of Toi Whakaari / New Zealand School of Dance by the painted roundabout.
Transport
There are Metlink bus stops on Hutchison Road that go in both directions.

Located on the ground floor to the right of the entrance.
Accessible parking
One mobility parking space on Taranaki St at Courtenay Place Park. See Wellington City Council's website for more mobility parking information.

Meow Nui
Venue Accessibility
The ground floor is fully accessible, with ramped entry and step-free movement throughout key areas including the bar and bathrooms.
Please note the auditorium is tiered, with a small number of steps leading to the front of the stage.
Accessible bathrooms are located on the ground floor.
A designated wheelchair section is available at the bar.
Nui is generally a standing venue but there are always limited seats available, on a first come first serve basis.
Seated events will be advertised on the ticketing page.
Upstairs Area – “Platinum Lounge” VIP Tickets
The Platinum Lounge is located on the mezzanine level and is only accessible via stairs. There is currently no elevator or lift to this area.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the upstairs space if they are comfortable using the stairs to access it.
The upstairs bathroom is also only accessible via stairs.
