Become part of the arts whānau- join a special community of like-minded people who believe in the power of arts, culture and creativity to make life better.

If you have a strong passion and enthusiasm for arts, culture and creativity and want to tautoko Aotearoa’s creative community, consider joining our strongest group of ambassadors, our Patrons.

Here at Tāwhiri, we firmly believe that the health of our society depends on a flourishing community of artists, creatives and supporters. Tāwhiri is a charitable company and the umbrella organisation that produces some of Aotearoa’s most iconic arts events including Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts, Wellington Jazz Festival, Lexus Song Quest in association with the Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation and other major events.

Did you know that for every one dollar we generate through ticket sales, we must raise another two dollars to cover the costs of the events?

As a charity we can’t do it alone; our Patrons’ support along with that of our corporate partners and funders is what empowers our mahiand activity enabling us to:

  • Bring as many people as possible together to enjoy a world-class programme that connects Te Whanganui-a-Tara with the world
  • Keep on delivering, by supporting our sustainability so our events can be experienced and enjoyed by future generations
  • Break down barriers to attendance through free, digital and accessibly priced events. Plus, offer heavily subsidised tickets for schools and community groups
  • Provide support, manaakitanga and a vital platform for both homegrown and international artists through commissioning opportunities
  • and so much more.

In addition to the feel-good factor of giving and getting behind something you care about, as a Patron you will:

  • Be the first to hear about the Festival programme and happenings
  • Receive a premium ticket package
  • Be able to use your ticket allocation across the Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts plus other Tāwhiri-produced events including the Wellington Jazz Festival and Lexus Song Quest in association with the Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation
  • Enjoy a personalised, preferential in-house booking service from the Tāwhiri team
  • Be able to claim a tax rebate of 33% on your nation (excluding ticket package)
  • Have a payment plan that suits you (monthly, quarterly, yearly, one-off)
  • Have your support recognised in marketing materials and more....

Every gift, of any size, makes a difference.
