The Alex Trask Septet Plays Duke Ellington
Join us for this special gig celebrating the music of the great Duke Ellington! Featuring original arrangements of Ellington classics, including tunes from Such Sweet Thunder; Black, Brown, and Beige; and others. The band will showcase every instrument, and there will be a feature from the band's celebrated clarinet trio. The septet is made up of some of Wellington’s top players, including members of the Aotearoa Jazz Orchestra, the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band, New Zealand School of Music—Te Kōkī faculty, and rising stars.
