GRAMMY Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band brings the unmistakable sound of New Orleans to Wellington for an electrifying Aotearoa debut at Meow Nui. For more than 40 years, this legendary ensemble has captivated audiences worldwide with their seamless blend of brass, funk, soul, R&B and jazz.
Founded by brothers Phil and Keith Frazier, Rebirth Brass Band rose from the streets of the French Quarter, quickly landing gigs at second line parades, to become one of New Orleans' most celebrated musical institutions. Their signature sound honours brass band tradition while pushing boundaries with their infectious grooves and bold improvisation. They have shared stages and collaborated with everyone from James Brown and U2 to Trombone Shorty, inspiring musicians and audiences alike.
This is more than a concert - it's a New Orleans street party, bursting with the unmistakable energy that has made Rebirth Brass Band a global sensation.
