Hailing from the city of sails, it's the David Fromont Quintet. Young trombonist David Fromont makes his Wellington Jazz Festival debut with his jazz quintet.
With an ear for everything, David will be putting on original compositions and classic jazz arrangements, while mixing experimental trombone explorations and true-to-tradition jazz quintet playing.
Featuring Samuel Voyle on the saxophone, Ryan Tomov on the piano, Finn McNeill on the drums, and Minjoon Kim on the bass. Expect the unexpected (and a little of the expected as well!).
