Scofield Synergy – Featuring Hilmar Backer

Scofield Synergy is a high-energy jazz quartet celebrating the groove-rich, genre-blurring music of John Scofield. Led by guitarist Hilmar Backer, the band features Blair Latham on saxophone and Greg Crayford on drums, with a bass player to be announced.  

Together, they channel Scofield's unmistakable voice through tight ensemble playing, bold improvisation, and a deep sense of rhythmic drive. Expect an evening of steaming grooves from Scofield's repertoire, stretching from bebop and New Orleans rhythms to pop, blues, and deep funk.
