Swing clarinetist Oscar Lavën, guitarists Adrian Jensen and James Quick, and double-bass raconteur Robert Henderson are Les Tripes (French for "The Guts"); a hard-working interpretation of the irresistibly heart-pumping film-noir sound of Django Reinhardt's Quintette du Hot Club de France. Lavën, Jensen, Quick, and Henderson are professional musicians based in Wellington, and have honed their project through years of performance in venues large and small.
