Bri Lou got the Blues 2
Bri Lou Got the Blues 2 is a soulful and swinging showcase of original jazz, blues, and soul grounded in experiences of Aotearoa, and the sequel to last year's popular jazz fest performance.
We are coming back bigger and better with a stellar line-up of musicians and a brand-new set of originals. This year, our focus is on playfully protesting local issues. The show will feature Bri Louise on vocals, Theo Thompson on guitar, Emma Hattaway on bass, Lily Atu on saxophone and backing vocals, Star Stephens on trumpet and backing vocals, Will Hanlon on saxophone and Ferdinand Hitchings-Anstice on trombone.
This afternoon performance will consist of original compositions written by Bri, alongside a few timeless reimagined jazz and blues standards.
