Join the Alex Trask Trio as we explore some new interpretations of familiar melodies and unheard compositions!
The trio features some of Alex's favourite collaborators and will be performing a selection of tunes from his recent EP, as well as new compositions and favourite standards.
Expect mysterious ballads, soulful blues, and exhilarating bop.
Alex Trask is a local saxophonist who plays with the Aotearoa Jazz Orchestra and the RNZAF band as well as leading many groups around the city. Over the last 2 years Alex has released numerous homegrown CDs which will be available at this gig.
