This performance brings together two great local big bands. First up, the Wellington All Stars Youth Big Band is an auditioned group of the finest high school jazz musicians this city has to offer. This year, under the directorship of Oscar Lavën, Greg Crayford, and Liam Boyle, this band will have you feeling confident in the future of jazz in the city. In the difficult position of following this group, the Capital City Big Band is a slick band of local pro and semi-pro musicians playing a range of big band repertoire. This gig will be sure to have your toes tapping!
