Wāhine in Jazz Improvised Collaboration

Held at Raglan Roast on Abel Smith Street from 3-5pm, this open workshop, led by Wāhine in Jazz creators Francesca Parussini and Na'amah Cheiban, along with Pōneke's Listening Collective's Zoe Ioannou, invites all to explore improvisation in a welcoming, inclusive space.

Featuring a house band of Jenna Aspeling on saxophone (AKL), Phoebe Johnson on bass (WLG), and Abe Baillie on drums (WLG). Whether you bring an instrument, take up a percussive instrument, use your voice, or simply listen in, this session is all about fostering connection, trust, and creativity in music-making and improvisation.
