Mingus’s 100th birthday is celebrated with three of the most exciting, award winning young jazz musicians in Aotearoa: Jack Harris (sax), Louis Holland (trombone) and Theo Thompson (guitar). Alongside them is a rhythm section of international repute, John Rae (drums), Ben Wilcock (piano) and Patrick Bleakley (bass). The ensemble will be performing some of Mingus’ best and most loved compositions in a concert to excite jazz lovers everywhere.
