Great jazz, tasty food and thirst-quenching brews
Whistling Sisters will be hosting some exciting beer and toe tapping sounds this Wellington Jazz Festival and the price of your ticket will go towards your first beer or bite while you watch the fantastic line up.
Saxophonist and composer Jasmine Lovell-Smith brings her signature brand of lyrical modern jazz to Whistling Sisters. Praised for her intriguing intersection of avant-garde art music and chamber jazz, Jasmine's music combines songlike melodies and finely etched counterpoint, inviting spontaneous interplay from the members of her ensemble.
This performance will feature a quartet of key collaborators from the Wellington scene.
Whistling Sisters was founded to remember Karen, whom was lost to breast cancer in 2015, and to continue her legacy 20 cents of every can sold goes to The Karen Louisa Foundation, created to fund research and treatments for advanced breast cancer.
