Dave is an institution in Aotearoa, starting as singer in the church choir, five years with the NZ Opera Company, stints as a studio session singer and lead vocalist of The Rodger Fox Big Band, smashing them at Montreux, Ronnie Scott's and the 100 Club. Dave has provided backing vocals for NZ's top contemporary singers and runs his own bands – Tapestry & The David Feehan Band. As a solo singer he has travelled the world - Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Cuba (where he performed with the iconic Buena Vista Social Club).

He has recorded five albums and played support on over twenty others. His last album 5 made the NZ album charts climbing to number ten. He teaches vocals, produces albums for others, writes and runs the ‘Singers of Tapestry Music’ who present two to four concerts a year. Not bad for a vocalist just turned 75!
