Celebrating Rodger Fox: The Rodger Fox Big Band
With the recent passing of “jazz legend” (RNZ ) Rodger Fox, renowned educator, musical director and big band leader, the Rodger Fox Big Band returns to the Wellington Jazz Festival with this special concert to honour him.
Looking back over 50 years, this performance will take you on a journey through the Big Band’s extensive back catalogue, featuring skilled soloists from the band, vocalist Erna Ferry and special guests. You’ll also hear tracks from the band's latest album Alive in New York.
In true Rodger style, you can expect the unexpected, but you’ll be sure to experience the classic Big Band sound his band is renowned for.
