Relax into a cruisy café folk and electric jazz fusion

Michelle Scullion and Mark Watson have been performing their style of jazz for decades, all around Auckland and the Kāpiti Coast. In more recent times they have been joined by their friend Ross Eaddy.

Their style is eclectic – one never knows where some of their improvised ideas come from. They mix up their originality with a whole range of musical styles from jazz standards to blues, swing, Latin, interspersed with European and Irish folk tunes, and touched up with some funk and soft rock.

Michelle plays an array of flutes – concert, alto and Chinese bamboo – and a mix of Latin percussion. Mark and Ross play guitars – both acoustic and electric – and together, they all love experimenting with loops and delay effects. Mark and Michelle share vocals during their performances and there may be some surprise guests who jam with them on stage.

Sit back and come on the journey – listen to cruisy café jazz sounds to more energetic and melodic themes. The music is very accessible and entertaining. Come and enjoy a couple of hours of acoustic and electric grooves.
